A Certified Laser Technician will use a small handpiece to deliver each laser pulse. A treatment can take as little as a few minutes to as long as an hour, depending on the treatment area and the condition being treated.

To obtain maximum results, it’s important to follow our pre-treatment instructions: Mark the date of your appointment on the calendar. Then mark off a 2-week period on the calendar with the words, “NO SUNBATHING”. Sunbathing can interfere with the laser skin treatment procedure.

Skin should be clean-shaven and thoroughly cleansed, removing any makeup, creams, oils, topical anesthetics or self-tanning products before laser treatment. Do not expose the intended treatment area to sunlight or tanning booth light prior to or immediately after treatment.
Use Aloe Vera gel within the first 2 hours of treatment to reduce redness and mild discomfort. Any redness or swelling should resolve within a few hours, but you may apply ice packs as needed.
Avoid any activity that may elevate body temperature, such as any forms of exercises, hot baths, Saunas, Jacuzzis etc, for 24 hours.
Don’t scrub the treated area. Gentleness is the best laser after-treatment needed. Protect your skin for the next two weeks with a sunscreen that has SPF of 30. You may only shave between sessions. Do not use any other form of hair removal, such as waxing, electrolysis, tweezing etc.
Permanent side effects are rare, and may include redness, swelling, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, blistering and purpura (a laser bruise) in the treated area - these usually do not last more than a few days.
